Q: Do I need any firmware/software/driver/kernel for my DS adapter?
Yes, every adapter needs its individual firmware for operation. We have listed all the links to the official firmware download sites.
Q: How to install the firmware on an adapter?
Download the latest system software from the manufacturer’s website.
Extract the files and folders from the compressed file downloaded.
Save the files and folders directly to the Root Directory of a MicroSD card.
Create a new folder “NDS” in your MicroSD card.
Copy the backup of the authetic game under your legal ownership to the directory.
Insert the adapter with the MicroSD card into the DS. Turn it on. The user interface will come up within seconds.
Q: Firmware is installed, but the DS keeps displaying “Loading….”.
In most cases, the files and folders of the system firmware are not properly copied to the MicroSD card.
We need to see all the files and subfolders directly stored under the root of the MicroSD.
NOT inside any one folder.
NOT a compressed file (.rar file)
Q: Why is the firmware downloaded unreadable?

Q: How to decompress the downloaded system file, which is in .rar format?
For Windows with built-in decompression utility:
Right-click the .rar file, and then click Extract All.
Specify where you want to store the extracted files.
Install the software.
Double-click the .rar file. The WinRAR decompression wizard should come up.
Press “Extract To” Icon from the menu bar.\
Specify the destination path. Press OK.
